The actions of TV show occur in the XVII century. British group of Catholics headed by radical activist Guy Fawkes develop a plan. Their purpose is blowing up the parliament building and killing of the King James I. Because he sympathizes with Protestants and organized a series of repressions against Catholics. These events went down in the history as the Gunpowder Plot. The conspiracy was uncovered, that’s why a tradition to organize a national celebration on November 5 called “Guy Fawkes’ Night” arose in the UK, celebrating the failure of the coup d’etat.
