Daytime Divas season 1
The TV series Daytime Divas on VH1 channel is based on the book “Satan’s Sisters … A Novel of Fiction” by Star Jones. Daytime Divas is a comedy drama about a fictitious daytime talk show called “The Lunch Hour”. The plot revolves around the five participants of this daily TV show. They discuss political news, love, social life, popular gossip, etc. they are good friends, beloved sisters on the screen, who simply have five different points of view. These five TV hosts are Daytime Divas. However, their own lives behind the scenes are like surviving amidst suffering and fights. Their behind-the-scenes life is full of rivalry, love experiences, power struggles, intrigues and frustrations in friendship and people in general.
In the series premiere, five co-hosts of a popular ladies' daytime talk show are followed, as the women struggle to keep their tumultuous personal lives private and their rivalries friendly.
Maxine returns to The Lunch Hour, but Mo isn’t going to make it easy, threatening to expose one of Maxine’s secrets to the public. Nina has some surprising news for Shawn, and Kibby is blindsided with a harrowing discovery.
An anonymous Page Six item causes Maxine to go on a warpath. Kelly Osbourne’s disastrous guest appearance provides Mo with opportunity to steal Maxine’s thunder. Nina is shocked to discover that Andrew has a secret of his own.
Maxine resorts to extreme measures to quash Anna's tell-all book; lifestyle expert Portia Camden joins "The Lunch Hour" as guest co-host; Kibby confronts her former nemesis; and Nina is horrified when her personal life implodes on-air.
When Nina's baby daddy scandal ignites a media feeding frenzy, Maxine hires crisis manager Isabel Carlisle to do damage control. All the cohosts are shocked when Maxine re-hires her former assistant Anna as a guest co-host.
Kibby reluctantly agrees to throw a party to celebrate one year of sobriety. Also: Maxine surprises everyone, including herself, when she brings a date to the event.
When William’s mother visits the set of The Lunch Hour, Maxine is forced to drop a bombshell on air. Janet Mock guest co-hosts on The Lunch Hour, shedding light on Heather’s struggle with Ella’s trans identity. Nina is confronted by an obsessed fan.
Much to Maxine's chagrin, Mo makes a triumphant return, as the "Lunch Hour" ladies head to the annual Daytime Television Awards. Kibby has an unwelcome run-in with her former TV dad, Vance Gordon; and Nina has an unwelcome run-in with Star Jones.
Maxine schemes to control Mo; Nina investigates Maxine's past; Heather's decision alienates her co-stars; Kibby spirals out of control.
