Benidorm season 8
The Dawson family head to the Solana Resort for the first time. Eddie is already causing trouble when he nearly drowns his grand-daughter. Billy and Sheron aren't happy at all. Tiger brings his best friend Joey on holiday. Joyce is on the look-out for a new member of staff, she has to choose between efficient Amber and flirty Marcus. Troy returns to the Solana, as he, Jacqueline and Kenneth scatter Donald's ashes.
Tiger and Joey take a shine to new girl Amber, while Mateo is the odd choice to run a staff first-aid course. Eddie tries to make amends with Sheron after the near-drowning incident the day before, Kenneth could be in for a windfall after the death of his beloved Uncle Herbert, and Troy and Jacqueline come up with a plan to save the salon.
The Maltbys are back at the Solana and Geoff gets some terrible news from back home as his status as quiz champion `the Oracle' is revoked, and Pauline must battle her demons as her sobriety is seriously tested by the resort's all-inclusive policy. Joey and Tiger get in trouble at a local biker bar and must defeat one of the regulars in a drinking challenge to save their necks, while Blow & Go sees some big changes and Joyce goes to a property auction and has to fight it out with a surprise bidder.
Geoff stages an intervention when Pauline falls off the wagon, but not before she has drunkenly befriended young Jodie - who was left under the not-so-watchful eye of Eddie while Billy and Sheron went for breakfast. The Solana wristbands are replaced by a new ID card system, but the technicalities of the new process prove too complicated for Mateo and the staff, and Joyce goes on a date with her estate agent Monty.
Tiger and Joey go mountain-climbing and soon have a run in with a hiker who takes exception to their seemingly loutish behaviour. The situation worsens when they realise they've forgotten to bring any water. After Pauline's relapse, the Maltbys decide to cut their holiday short and take her home on the evening flight, while romance is in the air at the Solana with both Eddie and Rob landing themselves dates, and a stranger turns up at reception asking for Mateo.
The whole town is dressed to impress for the Benidorm fancy dress festival, but Les is down in the dumps as he is missing his son Liam more than ever so Amber and the staff hatch a plan to cheer him up. Troy thinks he is being stalked by his ex Gavin, but the threat soon turns out to be much more sinister, while the Dawsons' holiday is drawing to a close and Billy still hasn't told Sheron that Eddie (Bobby Knutt) Is moving in with them. Meanwhile, a case of mistaken identity gets Rob, Joey and Tiger into trouble with the law.
Jodie's acting career gets a boost when she is accepted into stage school, but the high fees may be a problem, while Liam is back to visit his dad Les and is interested in a position at Blow & Go. Sir Henry asks Joyce if the Solana can host the Pride of Benidorm awards at short notice, but a double booking leads to a fight between two Peter Andre tribute acts and host Sammy Valentino starts causing trouble. Can a special star performance from Crystal save the day?
